There. I said it. the truth is muslims are not the problem. A radicalized tiny minority of the muslim faith are. And the same can be said for every religion, including juedaism and christianity.
And I can’t hold the entirety, of any faith, responsible for the actions and twisted interpretations of their faith of any religion.
But the sad truth is- that throughout mans history radicalized elements of various religions have gained a degree of power, and committed atrocities in the name of their religion.
And all too often the mainstream of the religion- whether christion, jewish, muslim etc has been too unwillingly, or too afraid- to not only speak up, but to deal with their own.
I don’t follow any religion, other then science. But I am a deist. I do believe in something- but I don’t believe any of the attempts by man to quantify it have been accurate. And I will tolerate a lot when it applies to your own believers. But when you kill americans because of your beliefs, when you kill abortion doctors because of your beliefs, when you bomb the USS liberty because of your beliefs, when you violently persecute palestinians because of your beliefs, when you subjugate women or blacks because of your beliefs- I have issues- and rightly so.
But the reality is the vast majority of muslins are not the problem. While christianity may be the dominant religion, on a 1:1 comparison- they are actually a minority when all religions are considered.
It is time to stop trying to enforce the christian religion on the rest of the world. I remember a friend in the clergy sent to the jungles of south america. And in his christian belief- those that did not know of jesus where sent to purgatory at worse. But those that knew of him- but did not accept him- where sent to hell. And he struggled mightily- by introducing the concept of jesus to these people, who had no concept of this their entire life, was he condemning them to hell?
