One of the Most Powerful, and Disturbing Things I have Seen: Amanda Todd

Amanda Todd was a 15 year old Canadian girl who recently committed suicide. A few weeks prior she posted this video, almost 9 minutes of her before a video camera going through flashcards telling her story.

And oh what a story. Like many of todays kids- she got into chatting and video chatting online. When she was 7 someone got her to flash her boobs. A year later he tracked her down. Eventually sending her picture to everyone she knew. The cops came. The bullying started. The depression. The cutting. Multiple moves and this lowlife still tracked her. As did the A****** from her previous towns and schools.

Todays article at the Vancouver Sun here which has links in the sidebar to numerous other articles.

On the positive side- hactivist group Anonymous went to work and revelaled the pedophile apparently responsible for starting this girls torment. See here on youtube and here in Vice Magazine and here on Huffinton Post

EDIT: And to add to the disturbing nature of this- I noticed in my stats, the search terms that brought people to this post, was “Amanda Todds Boobs” . So yes, some cretin was searching for not only the picture of a minors breasts, but those of a girls whose mistake in flashing them led to the harrasment by such creeps, and ultimately, to her suicide. Depressing…

About drugsandotherthings

I am a criminal. Because I have used cannabis and psychedelics extensively. I have tried many other drugs, but never cared for the uppers, downers, or dissociatives. I love craft beer, and absinthe, but don't care much for alcohols effects- which quite frankly, are boring and dangerous. Science is my religion. I am in my 40's, and have travelled extensively. And often forced myself outside of my confort zone. I am employed, a respected member of my communtiy, an animal lover, an environmentalist, a political junkie, and the realities I have experienced continue to push me further to the left of the political spectrum.
