I was sooooo very happy today when my blog exploded with hits. Not because of anything I did per se. But because so many people around the nation, and indeed the world, were researching Batkid and stumbled accross my blog post from a couple weeks ago. About the 5 year old kid battling lukemia for whom the Make-A-Wish Foundation were transforming parts of SF into “Gotham City”.
It is beyond touching to see that there so are many people touched by this. That beyond the day to to day nonsense, people at heart, care.
A lesson I learned over the ’85-’95 era travelling all over this country on Grateful Dead tour (but a lesson all too easy to forget). At heart- america is full of amazing people. And even our differences are much more superficial then the current climate often makes them seem.
